  • What type of bulbs do you use?
    We design and source a range of different shape and sized long-life, energy saving LED bulbs. They have an approximate life span of 30,000 hours (3 hours per day for 30 years).
  • Are the lights strong enough to read under?
    The bulbs we use are equivalent to a 30 or 40 watt traditional filament bulb, however, our LED filaments are dyed to mimic a synthetic candlelight. They are not designed as task lighting and are atmospheric by nature. The non-scientific theory is that you can read a newspaper under them, but after a while you will get up and turn on the big light!
  • How long do bulbs last?
    All bulbs are long-life A+ LED and have a lifespan of approximately 30,000 hours (3 hours per day for 30 years).
  • Where do I get replacement bulbs?
    Our LED bulbs have an approximate life span of 30,000 hours (3 hours a day for 30 years) so with normal usage, your bulb should give you many years of use. If for whatever reason you require a new bulb, there are some similar style of bulbs available in lighting shops. For some of the designs that are unique to us, you can purchase them directly from us at a preferential rate.
  • How long will it take for my Copperfish lamp or light to be made?
    Occasionally we may have a lamp in stock, however, generally every lamp is handmade to order so depending on what you're looking for, can take up to 4 weeks but on average 2-3 weeks. If you're looking for something sooner than this please contact us directly and we can advise.
  • Where do you source your wood?
    We personally source every piece of wood that comes into the studio, primarily salvaged and storm-damaged. We are continually on the look out for unusual timber, preferably with some history!
  • Do your lamps work for Europe or North America?
    Yes but with some exceptions. For contintental Europe, the plug just needs to be changed. For North America, some fittings, plug and bulbs need to adapted and this is possible on a number of models. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
  • I have a piece of wood at home that is sentimental. Can you make me a lamp with that?
    We probably can. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
  • Do you offer a delivery service?
    Yes. We deliver free of charge to Ireland and the UK. We can deliver to the rest of the world, price available on request.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept payment through Paypal and credit card.
  • How much is delivery?
    Delivery is free within the island of Ireland. Outside of Ireland we charge a flat fee depending on location. Delivery is calculated at checkout.
